To all leaders of the evangelical church,
Marital abuse is a paradoxical occurrence that has infiltrated our society. Although these two words are so perversely different, it is often used to clearly articulate a circumstance. In response, the church has established its dominance in maintaining the bonds of marriage at the cost of souls. As such, it has chosen to look the other way or worse has made excuses that permit the abuse to fester in every corner and crevasse of its infrastructure. It seems that the church, in which God himself established so that the vulnerable find comfort and refuge, has eyes but chooses not to see. It has ears but chooses not to listen. It has a voice. This voice continues to lecture and has essentially become a fool that steadily speaks.
To the wise leaders,
Turn inward.
Listen intently.
Respond diligently.
If you have the time, listen to this phenomenal leader who eloquently exposes truth and effectively sheds light on this wickedness.
And/or read this article that articulately lays out the truth in this matter.
